Many residents come here to exercise, such as running and swimming, for which the Wellerwaard is perfect. It is freely accessible and easy to reach by both car and bicycle.

Opposite the Wellerwaard lies the Casteleijnseplas, the largest lake in the polder, a former sand extraction site for the construction of the A6. Here you can walk around the lake and enjoy the various birds flying around.
